Checking Accounts

One of the many products First Federal offers is the checking account.  First Federal offers the Interest Bearing N.O.W. Checking account, the Personal Non-Interest Checking account, and the Small Business Checking account.  Our checking accounts include imaged cancelled checks.

Interest Bearing N.O.W. Checking*

The minimum opening deposit requirement for the N.O.W. account is $500.00.  When a $500 balance is maintained daily, interest is earned with no monthly service fees or per check charges.  If the balance falls below the minimum during the month, there is a monthly service fee of $5.00, charges of $.10 per item after 20 free items per month, and no interest earned.  Special considerations are available for senior citizens, non-profit organizations, or students.  Contact a Customer Service Representative for details.

* Now accounts offered to eligible depositors only, under restrictions from Federal Regulation D.

Personal Non-Interest Checking

For the Personal Non-Interest Checking account, a minimum opening deposit requirement of $100.00 is needed.  There are no monthly service fees for this account.

An additional service that First Federal offers with the N.O.W. Checking and Personal Checking accounts is the Debit Card - the card that looks like a credit card but works like a check!

Small Business Checking

The minimum opening deposit requirement for the Small Business Checking account is $500.00.  When a $500.00 balance is maintained daily, there are no service fees or per check charges.  If the balance falls below the minimum during the month, there is a monthly service fee of $5.00, and charges of $.10 per item after 20 free items per month.  Night Depository Service is also available to keep your money safe and make deposits convenient for your small business.
