Overdraft Transfer Protection
HOW IT WORKS
You can choose to link a savings account to your First Federal checking account for Overdraft Transfer Protection.
- If you write a check, authorize a payment or take a cash withdrawal when there are not enough funds in your checking account, funds may be transferred from your identified savings account to cover the amount.
- We will transfer the amount needed to cover your transaction (once per business day). You must have enough available in your linked savings account to cover the overdraft plus the applicable fees for the transfer to occur. Transfers can occur by specific amount or multiples of $100.
- For each day on which a transfer occurs, a transfer fee of $5.00 will be charged to each checking account that received a transfer from the linked savings account.
No charge to sign up. No annual fee. Save Money – Helps to avoid paying fees for checking account overdrafts. Helps avoid fees from creditors or merchants such as returned check fees or late fees. Peace of Mind – Mistakes can happen, but with Overdraft Transfer Protection, you can help ensure your checking account is covered.
